Biomaster wall cladding has bacteria covered

Addmaster has partnered UK wall cladding manufacturers Trovex to launch Activ:ion, an antimicrobial PVC wall cladding designed for food, leisure and healthcare.

Activ:ion protected PVC is a sleek, virtually seamless system that helps prevents cross-contamination by leaving microbes nowhere to hide. It has been proven during laboratory tests using the ISO 22196:2011 standard in hygiene-critical environments such as operating theatres and other infection-controlled areas to outperform other wall finishes, including stainless steel, reducing dangerous bacteria such as such Streptococcus faecalis, Salmonella typhimurium and MRSA by 99.9%.

Easily maintained and available in a wide range of colours, Activ:ion PVC wall cladding is also an attractive solution for changing rooms, locker rooms and shower rooms, which can offer a warm, welcoming environment for bacteria unless the walls are clad with an antibacterial finish.

The active ingredient antibacterial agent in the wall cladding is Biomaster technology. When added to a product, it prevents bacteria from multiplying; bacteria that land on a Biomaster protected surface are unable to replicate and therefore they die. The technology works 24 hours a day to inhibit the growth of microbes for the lifetime of the product. Activ:ion panels are also warranted to keep their antimicrobial properties for up to 20 years.
